Survey on Camelid Identification: conducted February 7 – March 11, 2006

The Camelid Identification Working Group (CWG) conducted a survey of owners from February 7 through March 11, 2006, to determine preferences for specific methods and locations of permanent identification and for management and financing of a database for tracking animal movements.

The results of this survey will be used by the CWG in drafting recommendations for permanent ID in camelids to be submitted to USDA. The camelid ID plan is still under development by the CWG and camelid owners will have ample opportunity to comment on a draft plan before it is submitted to USDA.

Thank you to all who participated!
